How to get the most out of your Budvue menus with Dutchie.

Where does the information come from?

Product details for your Budvue menus are pulled directly from your Dutchie POS. This means that updating a product's name, Brand, THC %, category etc. are easily done by entering the new information in your POS.

When your menu is being created or if you’d like updates please communicate with our team which fields you’d like to make use of.  All Budvue menus are custom coded and our developers need to know where to pull data from.  This includes things such as what Categories to display together (eg. all concentrates under one header or split).

In regards to where exactly the information comes from, here is a brief summary.

Most of the information used for your menu comes from the Product Detail page

  • Product Name from Name field

    • If your Name field is used for more than just the Name and includes brand, category etc. then we can also access the Online Title field under the Online Details tab and would suggest you enter in your preferred product name there.

  • Categories from Master Category and Category dropdowns. Both categories can be managed in Configure > Categories tab

  • Strain Type from Strain dropdown. Strains can be managed in the Strains page.

  • Brand Name from Brand dropdown. Brands can be managed in the Brands page.

  • Supplier Name from Vendor dropdown. Vendors can be managed in the Vendors page.

  • Product Images from Product Images field (in Online Details tab).

  • Net Size summary from Size dropdown, or the Net Weight field.

  • Thc from THC Content field. This will be overridden with Lab Result’s THC if available.

  • Cbd from CBD Content field. This will be overridden with Lab Result’s CBD if available.

We also have access to the Inventory page. From here we can access the following information

  • Batch-level THC and CBD

  • Cannabinoids

  • Terpenes

How can you draw attention to specific products?

One of the unique features in a Budvue menu is that we make it easy to draw attention to specific products with icons called Flags.  Some flags can appear automatically - such as if a product is marked as ‘Sale’.  Other Flags you control which products they appear next to such as ‘Staff Pick’, ‘Featured’, ‘Hot’, the options are plentiful!  To do this you will need to contact our team to code these Flags into your menu and then create the Tags in your POS.

Creating Tags in Dutchie is relatively simple, step by step instructions are below.

  1. In Inventory > Products, select any product to view the Details, then scroll down to the Tags field.

  2. Type a tag name into the Tags field (this is not case sensitive)

  3. Click Save at the top of the window.
