This guide explains how Budvue works with your FlowHub POS — how to activate the integration, where your product information comes from, and how to get the most out of your menus and BudGuide tablet.
Setting Up the Integration
To connect Budvue to your FlowHub POS:
Complete the FlowHub API Integration Request form.
Once FlowHub sends you your API information, email it to tvsupport@budvue.com.
Your API information will include the following details for each store location:
API Key
Client ID
Location ID
Location Name
Once we receive this, we'll get your integration set up on our end.
Where Does Product Information Come From?
All product details for your Budvue menus are pulled directly from your FlowHub POS. How you set up products in FlowHub Maui will directly affect how that information appears on your menus and BudGuide tablets — so thinking it through from the start and keeping your data consistent makes a big difference.
From the Products Page
Budvue receives the following information from the Products page in FlowHub:
Menu Field | FlowHub Source |
|---|---|
Product Name | Name field (or External Display Name if you prefer a shorter/different name on menus) |
Category | Category field (e.g. Flower, Edibles) |
Sub-category / Format | Type field (e.g. Gummies, Shatter) |
Brand | Brand field |
Strain Species | Strain Species field |
Product Description | Product Description field |
Product Image | Product Image field |
From the Inventory Level
The following fields are pulled from inventory-level data:
Menu Field | FlowHub Source |
|---|---|
THC | Inventory-level THC |
CBD | Inventory-level CBD |
Weight / UOM | Weight and unit of measure |
Price | Current price (note: discounted/sale prices are not supported natively — see below) |
Tip on Naming: What you put in the Name field maps directly to your menu. If your product name includes extra details like brand or format, those will show on your menu exactly as entered. For a cleaner menu, keep the Name field focused on the product or strain name, and use the Brand and Type fields for the other details. Consistent naming conventions across categories and store locations will make your menus much easier to read.
Sale Pricing
FlowHub has limited support for sale pricing in the POS. To display a product as on sale in Budvue, you can use the Override feature in your Budvue Dashboard to manually set a sale price for any product.
For full instructions, see our Using the Override Feature guide.
To make sure your menu is set up to display sale pricing, request Dashboard access and training from our team — the Override feature needs to be integrated into your menu design first.
BudGuide Cart Support (FlowHub)
If you're using BudGuide (the Budvue in-store tablet app) at your location, you can enable Cart Support so customers can build a cart that sends directly to your FlowHub POS.
To activate cart support:
Contact FlowHub at help@flowhub.com and request order-ahead credentials on behalf of Budvue.
Once you have those credentials, share them with us at tvsupport@budvue.com.
How it works:
When a customer builds a cart on BudGuide, an order is created in FlowHub with the product ID and quantity of each item.
A FlowHub customer record is created using the name the customer entered in BudGuide, followed by "BudGuide" — e.g., James BudGuide.
All BudGuide orders are treated as recreational and created with an order type of Pickup.
Orders appear in the Order Ahead tab in FlowHub.
