Budvue POS Client Education - TechPOS

This guide explains how Budvue works with your TechPOS system — how to set up the integration and how to manage your product information so your menus display correctly.


Setting Up the Integration

Budvue connects to TechPOS using an API key and URL provided by TechPOS. During your onboarding process, our team will collect these credentials from you. If you need to request them from TechPOS directly, contact their support team:

Making Sure Your Products Appear on Your Menus

In TechPOS, each product has a "Show in Digital Signage" toggle. This must be set to Enable for a product to appear on your Budvue menus.

If a product isn't showing up on your screens, check this toggle first:

  1. In TechPOS, go to Menu → Inventory → Inventory Adjust.

  2. Find the product and confirm the Show in Digital Signage toggle is set to Enable.


Where Does Product Information Come From?

All product details displayed on your Budvue menus are pulled directly from your TechPOS system. Updating a product name, brand, THC%, or category is as simple as updating it in your POS — it will automatically reflect on your Budvue menus within about 15 minutes.

Tip on Display Name: TechPOS has a separate Display Name field that lets you show a different name on your Budvue menus without changing the product name used in your POS reports and receipts. If you'd like cleaner or shortened names on your menus, use the Display Name field.

Setting THC / CBD Values

THC and CBD values in TechPOS are set at the lot level, not the product level. Here's how to update them:

  1. Go to Inventory → Inventory Adjust.

  2. Find your product and select a lot number.

  3. Enter the exact THC and CBD values.

  4. Click Save at the top or bottom of the page before navigating away.


How to Highlight Specific Products with Flags

TechPOS has a built-in Daily Special toggle that Budvue can use to flag products on your menus.

To use Daily Special flags:

  1. First, contact TechPOS to request that the Daily Special setting be enabled for your account.

  2. Once enabled, go to Menu → Inventory → Inventory Adjust.

  3. Find the product you want to flag.

  4. Under the Digital Signage section, toggle Daily Special to on.

The product will then appear with a flag on your Budvue menus.
