Task: Generate a new 5-digit access code to reconnect an existing device to the Budvue Dashboard.
Platform: Web Browser (Desktop/Mobile)
Use this article when: An existing TV/Media Player is asking for an access code or needs to be re-linked to the Dashboard.
Do not use this article if:
You are setting up a brand new device for the first time — see How To: Create a New Device & Playlist.
You cannot log into the Dashboard — see How To: Reset Dashboard Password.
Steps
Log into the Dashboard: Go to dashboard.budvue.com and log in.
Navigate to Devices:
Click on the TV tab in the main navigation menu.
Select the Devices sub-tab.
Select Your Device: Find the name of the device that needs the code and click on it to open the details page.
Regenerate the Code: * Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Click the Regenerate button.
Enter the Code: A new 5-digit code will be generated. Enter this code into the Budvue app on your TV screen.
Expected result: The TV screen accepts the code and begins syncing with its assigned playlist.
Resolution
The TV should begin downloading content immediately. Once the download is complete, the "Device Status" in your Dashboard should show as Online.
Contact Support
If the code is not being accepted, please verify that the device is connected to Wi-Fi/Internet before reaching out.
If it is connected and the code still fails, email tvsupport@budvue.com with:
The name of the device as it appears in the Dashboard.
The 5-digit code you attempted to use.
