Recommendations

1. Protect Your Cords

Bending or straining the HDMI and power cords is one of the most common causes of connection problems.

  • Ensure there is enough slack in the cords — they should not be stretched or sharply bent at the connection points.

  • Use cable ties or clips to keep cords organised and out of the way.

  • After mounting, gently tug each cord to confirm it is not under tension.

2. Maintain Airflow

The BuzzTV box generates heat and requires ventilation to avoid overheating.

  • Mount in a location with open airflow around the device.

  • Keep away from heat sources such as radiators, direct sunlight, or other heat-generating electronics.

  • If mounting inside a cabinet or enclosed shelf, ensure there is a gap or vent for air to circulate.

3. Keep the Remote Signal Unobstructed

The BuzzTV remote uses an infrared (IR) signal that requires a clear line of sight to the front of the device.

  • Ensure nothing is blocking the front face of the device.

  • Do not mount behind solid panels or inside enclosed cabinets.

  • Test the remote from the position you will normally use it before finalising the mount.

4. Keep the Device Accessible

Occasional access is needed for updates and troubleshooting.

  • Mount in a location where you can easily reach the ports and buttons.

  • Do not mount behind walls, in ceilings, or anywhere that requires tools to access.

  • A wall mount bracket or open shelf works well.
