Device: BuzzTV / DS1 (Android)
Task: Manually update the Clickspace TV app, or enable automatic updates.
Use this article when: You need to update the Clickspace TV app on a BuzzTV or DS1 device, or want to enable auto-updates so future updates happen automatically.
Do not use this article if:
You have a FireStick — see FireStick: Update the Budvue App instead.
Prerequisites
Before starting, confirm:
The device is connected to Wi-Fi (see BuzzTV / DS1: Connect to Wi-Fi)
You have a Google account signed in on the device
Part 1: Update the App Manually
Step 1: Exit the App
Press the Home button on your remote.
When you see "Signage will resume in…", select Cancel.
Expected result: You are on the BuzzTV home screen.
Step 2: Open Google Play Store
Select All Apps.
Open Play Store.
Don't see the Play Store?
Open Settings (grey gear icon).
Go to Apps → See all apps → Show system apps.
Scroll down and select Google Play Store.
If the Play Store won't load, confirm the device is connected to Wi-Fi.
Step 3: Sign In to Your Google Account (if prompted)
If prompted, sign in with your location's Google account. If not prompted, click the account icon in the top-right corner to confirm you're signed in.
No Google Account? Create one first on a computer web browser
We recommend:
- Use your location's email address
- Use your town name as a password
- Write the login details somehwere safe
If you need to remove an old Google account that's currently signed in:
Press Home on your remote.
If the “Signage will resume…” message appears, select Cancel.
Open Settings (gear icon).
Select Accounts.
Choose the old account.
Select Remove Account.
Confirm by selecting Remove Account again.
Repeat if there are multiple old accounts.
Press Back until you return to the main screen.
Open All Apps → Play Store.
Sign in with the correct Google account.
Expected result: You are logged into the Play Store
Step 4: Find and Update the App
Tap the Search icon (left side).
Type Clickspace TV.
Select the app from the results.
Tap Update (or Update from Google Play).
Wait for the installation to finish.
Expected result: The app updates successfully.
Step 5: Relaunch the App
Press Back until you return to the launcher screen.
Select Launch.
Expected result: The updated Budvue menu loads normally.
Part 2: Enable Automatic Updates (Recommended)
Once enabled, the app will update itself in the background — no manual action needed.
While on the Clickspace TV app page in the Play Store, tap the three dots (top right).
Enable Auto-update.
Expected result: Future updates install automatically over Wi-Fi.
Resolution
If the app updated successfully and the menu is displaying correctly, no further action is needed.
