BuzzTV/DS1: How to Reboot the App & Clear Cache

Modified on Thu, 14 May at 3:31 PM

Device: BuzzTV / DS1 (also works for Firestick, ONN, and Google Streamer)

Task: Perform a proper reboot and clearing of the cache for the Budvue/Clickspace app

Use this article when: The screen is frozen, sluggish, not loading content, or behaving unexpectedly, and a reboot is needed.

Do not use this article if: The screen is black with no power — see BuzzTV / DS1: Black Screen instead (the device may need to be power cycled, not restarted).

Steps

  1. Open Admin Panel: From the menu screen, press OK on your remote to open the Admin Panel.

  2. Reset App: Use the arrow keys to navigate to Reset App and press OK.

  3. Return to Menu: You'll be taken to the device home screen. You can either:

    • Wait for the countdown to finish (for BuzzTV/DS1 devices only).

    • Click Cancel to skip the countdown, then click the Budvue/Clickspace app icon (or click Launch) to reopen the menu.

  4. Allow Loading: Give the menu a moment to load — it may take a minute or two to fully refresh.

  5. Clear Cache: Repeat the same steps above, but this time, navigate to Clear Cache instead of Reset App to ensure a complete refresh.

Expected result: App reboots and the Budvue menu loads automatically with updated content.

Resolution

If the issue that prompted the reboot is now resolved, no further action is needed.
