A step-by-step guide to getting Budvue fully set up in your store.
Phase 1 — Before You Start
Complete these steps before setting up any hardware.
Confirm your POS integration Make sure your POS system is one of Budvue's supported platforms (Dutchie, FlowHub, Cova, Blaze/Greenline, TechPOS, Treez, or Profitek). If you're unsure, email tvsupport@budvue.com.
Request your Dashboard login Your login credentials are provided by Budvue. See: How to Request Your Dashboard Login.
Review hardware requirements Confirm you have a compatible media player for each screen. See: Budvue Compatible Hardware.
Check your network Ensure your store has a reliable Wi-Fi or wired internet connection at each screen location. See: System & Network Requirements.
Phase 2 — Hardware Setup
For each screen in your store:
Connect the media player Plug the device into your TV via HDMI and connect power. See: BuzzTV/DS1: Hardware Connection & Initial Setup or FireStick: Initial Setup & Configuration.
Connect to Wi-Fi Connect the device to your store's Wi-Fi network. See: BuzzTV/DS1: Connect to WiFi or FireStick: Connect to Wi-Fi.
Install the Budvue app Download and launch the Budvue app on the device. See: BuzzTV/DS1: Installing the Budvue App or FireStick: Initial Setup & Configuration.
Confirm the screen is live The Budvue screen should display your products within a few minutes of app launch. If it shows a setup screen or remains blank, see Device Troubleshooting.
Phase 3 — Dashboard Setup
Log in to your Budvue Dashboard and complete the following:
Log in and explore Visit your Budvue Dashboard and familiarise yourself with the layout. See: Understanding Your Budvue Dashboard.
Verify your product catalogue Go to the Products page and confirm your inventory has synced from your POS. Products should appear automatically within 30 minutes of your POS connection being active.
Set up your first Promo TV menu Create your first promotional menu using Smart Tags. See: How-to: Create a Smart Tag Promo Slide.
Schedule your promotion Set display dates and times for your menu. See: How to Edit Scheduling on Current Promotions.
Check your screen Confirm the promotion is displaying correctly on your in-store screen.
Phase 4 — Optional Features
Set up BudGuide (if applicable) If your plan includes BudGuide, set up your budtender tablet. See: BudGuide: Setup & Installation.
Review Smart Ads If Smart Ads are enabled on your account, review your ad playlists. See: View the Status of My Smart Ad Playlists.
Add additional locations If you operate more than one store, add them to your account. See: Adding a New Location.
